Located on the Black sea, close to the port in Constanta (Romania's third biggest city), Casino 1910 was the pearl of the area throughout the twentieth century. Built in the first decade and open for the public in 1910, the casino quickly became a hub of importance and a symbol of the coastal city. The building served as a hospital during World War II. The following years of Communism were destined for its purpose as a restaurant. Hard to cover maintenance costs finally brought the casino to its decline and the building was closed in 1990.
